Terms of Service — AngryRobot Scanner

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using AngryRobot Scanner ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is operated by Angry Robot Labs s.r.o., registered in the Slovak Republic ("we", "us", "our").

2. The Service

AngryRobot Scanner provides AI visibility analysis and SEO scanning for websites. The Service includes:

Scan reports — automated crawl and analysis of websites you submit, producing SEO and GEO scores and recommendations
AI Research reports — brand perception analysis using multiple third-party AI models (Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT-4o)
AI Advisor — a conversational AI assistant with memory of your previous sessions, powered by Anthropic Claude
Shared reports — frozen snapshots of scan results that can be shared with third parties via a unique link
Blog — public product updates and informational content; no account required to read

Scores and recommendations are informational and do not guarantee specific outcomes in search rankings or AI citations. AI Research results reflect the state of third-party AI engines at the time of the query and may vary between runs as those engines are updated independently.

3. Your account

You may register using an email address and password, or by signing in with a Google account. You must provide accurate information when registering. If you use Google Sign-In, you are also subject to Google's Terms of Service for that authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. You may delete your account at any time from Settings; deletion is immediate and permanent. Accounts that have been inactive for 24 consecutive months may be deleted following 30 days' email notice to the registered address, in accordance with GDPR's storage limitation principle.

4. Acceptable use

You may only scan websites that you own or have explicit permission to scan. You must not use the Service to:

Scan websites you do not own or have no authorisation to analyse
Attempt to circumvent rate limits, access controls, or usage quotas
Reverse-engineer, copy, or resell any part of the Service
Introduce malware, bots, or automated abuse beyond normal API usage
Violate any applicable law or third-party rights

Shared reports: when you generate a shared report link, that link is publicly accessible to anyone who has it. You are solely responsible for deciding what you share and with whom. Do not share reports containing sensitive or confidential information about third-party websites you do not own.

AI Advisor: conversation messages you send to the AI Advisor are stored on our servers and sent to Anthropic for processing. Do not enter personal data, passwords, or confidential business information into the Advisor that you would not want processed by a third-party AI service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without notice. Accounts terminated for violation of these Terms are not entitled to refunds for any remaining prepaid subscription period.

5. Plans, credits, and billing

Site Audit and AI Perception credits are allocated monthly and reset at the start of each billing period. Unused credits do not carry over to the next month.

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. You may cancel at any time; your plan remains active until the end of the current period. By subscribing and gaining immediate access to the Service, you request that the Service begins before the 14-day withdrawal period expires and thereby waive your right of withdrawal pursuant to Article 16(m) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU. No refunds are issued for partial billing periods or unused credits.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to registered users. Price changes take effect at the start of your next billing period following the notice period. Your current pricing remains in effect until that date.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and content, is owned by Angry Robot Labs s.r.o. and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the websites and content you scan.

By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to crawl and analyse the websites you submit for: (a) providing you with scan results and reports; and (b) improving and developing the Service, including refining the scoring algorithms and models that power it. Any use under (b) relies solely on anonymised and aggregated data derived from scan reports — your personal data, account details, and the identity of the websites you scan are never used or disclosed for this purpose.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or specific improvements to your search rankings or AI citation frequency.

AI citation results reflect the state of live AI engines at the time of the scan. These engines update frequently; results may vary between scans.

We aim to provide the Service with reasonable availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may perform scheduled or emergency maintenance at any time. Temporary unavailability of the Service does not entitle users to refunds or credits.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Angry Robot Labs s.r.o. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the Slovak Republic, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be communicated by email.
