Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you want to know before your first Site Audit.
AI Visibility & GEO
What exactly is GEO / AI visibility optimization?
GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) is the practice of making your website readable, understandable, and citable by AI-powered search engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews. It's the next evolution of SEO — and most websites are currently invisible to these engines for completely fixable reasons.
How is this different from Google Search Console?
Google Search Console tells you what's already happened — clicks, impressions, crawl errors. AngryRobot tells you what's going to hurt you, including signals that affect AI engines which GSC doesn't track at all: AI bot permissions, llms.txt, E-E-A-T trust signals, and live citation status in ChatGPT and Perplexity.
Is the AI citation check a real live query?
Yes. We send actual queries to live AI engines based on your site's topic and analyse whether your domain appears in the answers. Free and Hobby plans query Google Gemini. Business adds Perplexity for a second angle; Agency layers in Tavily for full multi-engine coverage. This is real data, not a simulation — and it's the most unique thing AngryRobot does that no other SEO tool currently offers.
Does this work for e-commerce, blogs, and SaaS — or just specific site types?
AngryRobot works for any public website. The AI visibility signals it checks — structured data, E-E-A-T, AI crawlability, content freshness — are universally important whether you're running a shop, a blog, a service business, or a SaaS product. If you have a website, you have a GEO score, and we'll tell you what it is.
Site Audits
How often should I run a Site Audit?
Use Quick Site Audit (homepage only, takes seconds) weekly for regular monitoring. Run a Deep Site Audit after publishing significant new content, after a site redesign, or when you want a full audit across all pages. Hobby and above plans include scheduled automatic audits so you don't have to remember.
How long does a Site Audit take?
Site Audits typically complete in under 60 seconds. You can watch progress live on the dashboard and the report appears automatically when done.
Can I share reports with my development team or clients?
Every report has a URL you can share directly. Hobby and above plans also include PDF export — great for sending to developers or presenting to clients and management who want results without logging in.
Plans & Billing
What happens when I run out of Site Audit credits?
Site Audit and AI Perception credits reset at the start of each billing month. Unused credits do not carry over. When your monthly limit is reached you can still view all previous reports — you just can't start new audits until the next reset or until you upgrade your plan.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. You can cancel your subscription at any time from the billing settings page. Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period — there are no early termination fees and no questions asked.
Is there a free trial for paid plans?
The Free plan is free forever — no trial period, no credit card required. It gives you real Site Audits with real data, so you can judge the product before spending anything. Upgrade when you're ready for more audits, more pages, or deeper analysis.
Do you offer agency or volume discounts?
The Agency plan is built for teams managing multiple client websites — it includes unlimited website folders and 100 Site Audit credits per month. For custom arrangements or volume pricing beyond Agency, contact us at [email protected].
